CF3I
Trifluoroiodomethane
As a new type of insulating gas, Iodotrifluoromethane (CF3I) is used in the power industry as a replacement for SF6. It has good environmental characteristics, and its dielectric strength is better than SF6. The breakdown and decomposition o f CF3I will not produce toxic products, and will not have negative effects on dielectric strength under certain conditions.
